Abruzzo can be discovered through its many faces, including different landscapes ,- typical of the southern Italy - the peaks and the wide parks of the Gran Sasso. Abruzzo, with its nineteen villages like Castel del Monte, Tagliacozzo, Città Sant’Angelo, Civitella Del Tronto, Pacentro, is a real trip between places of enchantment. Starting from its capital city l’Aquila, called “the 99 castles town” and going to Chieti, one of the most ancient Italian towns, located in a panoramic position between the Maiella Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. Among the ancient monuments, the Roman Theatre (second half of the II century a.C.) stands out as well as the complex of the Roman Temples and the cistern of the ancient bath. Among the many different attractions of this natural region, the sources and thermal spa play an important role. The thermal water of the Abruzzo is able to cure in a very natural way several diseases. While the sources of Caramanico, Rajano and Popoli rise at the foot of the Maiella mountain, the ones of Canistro come to light in Rovereto Valley, among woods which define the border between Ciociaria and Marsica.
